Sharon has lived around East Arnhem Land for around 25 years in roles with Community Corrections, NAAJA and the Aboriginal Interpreter Service.

Almost a year ago, she became part of EARE in the role of Remote Housing Operations Manager. During her time with TFHC as a Tenancy Officer in remote communities, she observed the challenging living conditions, sparking her interest in the Remote Housing Operations Manager position.

She possesses a profound commitment to this region and is devoted to ensuring that tenants thrive in accordance with our contractual agreement with the Government. With concerns about the premature mortality rate, she aims to improve living conditions for Yolngu people to safeguard their health. Frequently, she finds herself needing to address issues firmly regarding poorly maintained homes, all the while working closely with families to educate them on the importance of maintaining cleanliness in their households.
